TO REPORT A LEAK...
363-1752 (nights/weekends) Natural Gas is odorless and adding a chemical
called "captan" gives gas its "rotten egg" smell.
Your senses can help you discover a gas leak.
SIGHT.... See flame in appliance see if working properly.
TOUCH.... Feel if burner is overheating or cold may indicate trouble.
HEARING.... Hear if flame sounds unusually noisy may indicate burner problems.
If you think you smell gas you should:
a. NOT light any matches or other flame.
b. NOT turn any switches on or off.
(Electrical switches may produce sparks)
c. Notify gas department: 363-1752 or call 911
d. If the odor seems strong, evacuate the premises.
Because natural gas provides about 1/4 of our energy.

Homes run on it--More than 46 million homes use natural gas to fuel stoves, furnaces, water heaters, clothes dryers and other household appliances.

Industry depends on it--Natural gas has thousands of uses. It's used to produce steel, glass, paper, clothing, brick, electricity; to roast coffee, smoke meats, bake bread and much more.
Tennessee law requires three working day's notice to underground
utility owners before you dig. A list of those utilities may be obtained
from each county's Register of Deeds. Those utilities that participate
in the Tennessee One-Call System can be notified by calling TOLL
Call 363-1752 Natural Gas service is available by contacting the
Pulaski Natural Gas Department. If you are building a new home
or requesting gas for the first time, an application must be completed.
Service line applications are available at our office.
1. Our responsibility is to run a service line from our
main to the
house at a cost of $2.00 per foot, Minimun $150.00
2. No deposits, $50.00 connection fee
3. All new lines are required to purchase a permit and
inspection fee at a cost of $10.00 and furnish
proof of insurance.
The Gas Department maintains a list of insured contractors that
may be contacted to install gas service. All gas line extensions and
additions must be inspected by Gas Department personnel.
